I graduated from the UX Design Institute four years ago and since then, I have built up experience in the UX and UI field, working in the private educational sector.

Before embarking on my design journey, I ran and managed a sports injury clinic and a team of therapists for almost eight years in Glasgow. My experience as a therapist has provided me with invaluable transferable soft skills such as empathy, communication and listening.

Throughout my career, I've always worked in roles where the people I interact with or design for are at the very core of everything I do—first as a therapist, and now as a UX researcher and designer.

I have conducted research throughout all design cycles in a variety of projects.

My approach involves conducting research and understanding the problem to then design a solution. I learn from the frictions and pain points encountered by users and analyse and translate data, producing artefacts such as customer journey maps, user flows, sketches and prototypes.

I feel most at home when working with Figma. I use it daily to deliver high-fidelity prototypes that help my team visualise insightful solutions.

I have successfully communicated the value of user research and user-centred designs on numerous occasions to my colleagues. Explaining the reasoning behind my design decisions is part of encouraging dialogue to improve our designs.

If you’d like to know more about my design experience, I’d be delighted to chat with you. After all, meaningful conversations are one of the best ways to connect.
